ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

That sir would be the outter lower control arm bushing. Buy a moog one, you'll be happy.
You need to completley remove the control arm to do so, so i highly recommend you purchase the inner one as well, since its out, you minus well do it. FYI in advance - Their a bitch to get in and out without a press/fitting

That looks more like the lower shock absorber bushing, aka lower damper bushing. It's the bushing that is located @ the bottom of the knuckle and the shock bolt goes through it. It's item #36 on that parts diagram.

Honda part number is 52622-SM4-003 it's about $15 per side.

I don't have any experience with the rear ones. I have however removed the front Lower Control Arm bushings that use the same style rubber bushing with a metal casing. I didn't use a press, in my case I used a hack saw with a removable blade.

                      Here is what I did.
Put the hack saw blade through the hole and then tightened it to the handle. I then proceeded to cut the bushing casing down to the metal of the LCA (in your case it would be the iron of the knuckle) Once you have it cut all the way through and the length of the casing you should be able to use a flat head screw driver, or a punch, and hammer to tap it out of the knuckle.

All that being said I did not press an new OEM metal sleeved bushing back into place. I replaced mine with energy suspension poly bushings and they don't use a metal casing.

You may be able to press the new OEM bushings back in with an automotive heavy duty 6" C clamp. Not sure.....

Sorry I can't be of more help than that.

You will have to check on the availability of ES bushings for the rear. I'm not 100% if they make them for the rear. That is why I stated that I only have experience with the front LCA bushings.... If ES does make a set for the 4th gen rear your good to go.
