ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    wont go into gear

ok so i just changed my clutch and pressure plate.. i cant seem to get it to go into gear though the wierd thing is it went into gear when it was on jack stands and the car was running... here are some other problems im wondering if they might relate to it...

    - i failed to put tranny fluid in
    - my clutch pedal is really low like 4 inces from the floor and i can pull it up about 1-2 inches by hand but it is stiff when i press it i think it needs adjusted.

Sounds like it needs to be ajusted or the system needs to be bled....and i would imagine tranny fluid would be a good idea also.

tranny fluid is important. it's not really an option

bleed your clutch. it's kind of a pain but it needs to be done. build up some pressure before you open the bleeder valve by pumping the pedal before you hold it down.

leave that as a mystery and simply refill in ur tranny fluid with DOT3 brake fluid. You might have to keep pumping the clutch...then u should be alright.

ok i fixed the clutch issue but:

now when im driving normal ill get to about 1500-2000 rpm and it stalls a little till i give it alot more gas.. im thinking this is going to buy a hit and miss deal but what are your guys ideas for whats cheap to start trying? btw is it true we can pull our back seat to access the fuel pump with out dropping the tank.

because there's nothing holding the wheels back. this happened to a corolla i did the clutch on. the customer bought the wrong clutch and we were able to force it into gear on jackstands and it would immediately start rolling even with the clutch all the way in.

id do a couple more tests and inspections before you begin replacing random stuff. but yes you can access the fuel pump, you may need to trim part of the access area.
