ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Its a blue jelly. You put it on, scrub it lightly and then let it sit for about half an hour then scrub lightly again and rinse.

solvent should do the trick pretty well, with a wire brush of some sort. but that stuff is a bit spendy, so if your only going to be cleaning that i would also suggest brake cleaner or carb cleaner.

That Oil Eater stuff I know for sure works but I thought it was only available comercially. We used to have this big 5 gallon bucket of this concentrate to clean the floors of the garage, back when I was a lube tech at this local garage. It basically ATE the oil, you poured it on and bam the oil was breaking apart.

I just don't know where to find that in a handy spray bottle.

i've always had good experiences with oven cleaner, i mean the thing is off the car anyhow and you're going to rince it out.

Just spray some in, don't breath it in though, let it soak for a while, even better over night and then come back and rinse.

well, Carb Cleaner, a toothbrush and a couple shop towels did the trick! it looks MUCH better now, especially that EGR port, NASTY before.

Even though you already cleaned it I will say that f22hb intake mani. looked brand new after using aluminum jelly.

well removing the entire manifold is a quite tedious task by itself. But since I had to replace a head gasket on my car, I took off the intake manifold w/ it since once you remove it, you'd have to replace that gasket for it. And I did so w/ a better Bisimoto heat shielding one.

Basically, there's a lot of vacuum lines and little stuff you have to unplug.

haha yeah, the reason why it took my 7 hours to remove the cyl. head and intake is b/c I put masking tape around all the important vacuum lines and I have about 7 little ziploc baggies written on them w/ a sharpie marker. Well maybe if I was moving fast it coulda taken 5 hours, but since this was such a huge undertaking for me, i went slow.
