ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

What's best to clean Intake runners/manifold with?

I'm doing my headgasket, and while I'm waiting for the machine shop to resurface and rebuild the cyl. head, I'm stuck w/ no car, so I can only prep. the block for putting the stuff back on.

What i'm asking is, Whats the best cleaner/degreaser to use on the inside of the intake runners...to get all that nasty gunky oil gooo outta there? Something that breaks it up immediately when I spray it.....any ideas? It's pretty bad on the inside:

don't aircraft strippers eat into aluminum? I use carb cleaner, $1 per can

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

but with the aircraft stripper, you just spray, let it sit, & hose it off

this stuff right here is the shit.....

                      before:

After with no water.....Just used a rag to wipe it down. The things it could do with a pressure washer.

                      before:

After.....same as before, no water involved just wiped it down with a rag.

no offence but the aircraft stripper wouldve gotten off that stuff that the degresser didnt

Aluminum jelly works very good from my experience.
This is what my intake mani looks like off the civic's f22a1 turbo.

                            lol

Luckly I'm porting this manifold out anyways though.

And this was my accord one after I cleaned it.

so this aluminum jelly.....what is it exactly? like a putty you put on there and leave it sitting for 10 min? I could use paint stripper, thats how I got off this pink paint that was on my H23 plenum on the outside, its just the insides i'm worried about damaging. Not to mention, that stuff BURNS my skin when I got like 2 drips on my arm, ouch. But I guess it is really strong.
