ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

if you dont feel a difference then theres something that isnt hooked up. i know when i got my f22a6 swapped in it pulled harder than my a1. so im sure there should be a difference.

check all the wiring. check the to make sure the IAB black box under the IM is hooked up. and make sure you have the PT6 ECU. if you dont have the IAB box hooked up then hook it up to a vacuum somewhere on the IM so the IABs will open up(some may say just put a pin in the PT3 ECU but not everyone is a electrical person. lol).

check out the engine bay and make sure everything is hooked up. check your fluids, spark plugs, spark plug wires, oil, tranny fluid(make sure you put OEM honda ATF in there and nothing else.)

Do you have the A6 ECU? You are probably running the F22A1 ECU.

because a loud motor doesnt mean it is faster...that would be called a noise maker.

Like I said above, what computer are you running? Are you still using the PT3 that came stock with the car, or did you get the computer that goes with the A6?

or pull on the carpeting and undo the panel and find out first hand what computer is in there.

no. lol. you'll still have the 140 but the motor wont be using it like its supposed to(if that makes any sense ) im thinking its just something aint hook up right. i know when i got my swap i still had the PT3 ECU and it still took off with more power. what kind of tranny do you have? auto or manual?

manual: the clutch might be slipping

auto, the VSS might be acting up(makes it seem laggy.)

Uhh...no? The ECU is not providing the proper amount of fuel due to the bigger cam. He is NOT making 140hp.

The motors are 14 years old or older... NONE of them are likely to be making their full power anymore.

Get the proper ECU. Especially if your IAB system isn't working (that would provide more high end power). Do a compression test to make sure your motor is good.

Finally... you may have had a freak F22A1. It happens. My friend's mom's F22A4, which is automatic, feels a HELL of a lot stronger than his old modded F22A1. Supposed to be a 5hp difference, and his A1 was manual... but the A4 in that auto was a beast.

Too many variable too account for in here:
                            - Wear on the A6 vs. the A1
                            - Computer
                            - Correct swaping (hooking up all sensors, vacuum lines, etc correctly)

Those are a few quick ones that come to mind! Check the ECU. That would keep you making roughly the same amount of power OR less than the A1 because it will not have correct fuel control for your cam/IAB/injectors.
