ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Need H22 swap hints

I read some of the threads that some of you posted about the h22 swap and I have some questions about the swap. I have a 92 lx. Just bought h22a and i was told that i have to change the motor mount on the driver side so it could fit. Also the power steering most be modify to fit the cb7, and also the tranny don't bult on. Is this true or they just didn't swap it the right way. I drive it daily(cb7)to get around and i can't have it a week or two in the garage. what encounters should i run into or what parts should i buy from the beginning to avoid issues? If i didn't find the link or thread please direct me to it. Thank in advance.

your f22 tranny will bolt right up..... you shouldnt have to change the driver mount... just use all the accords old mounts and cv axles... you will have to modify the PS line if you use the accords braket and PS pump or you can use the preludes h22 brakets PS pump and High pressure line. if you have a custom hood this might cause clearenss issues.

get a p13 ecu and wire the five wires you need to the ecu.....use your stock f22 harness.

Please, Leave me some feeedback on my ride ^CLICK ^CLICK ^CLICK

It's the Swap FAQ that is stickied at the top of the Swap sub forum.

If that doesn't answer your questions, we encourage searching too.

As for what I would do (parts replacement wise):

      Change:
      timing belt,
      balancer belt,
      water pump,
as many seals as you can (camshaft, front crank, balance shaft, rear main, both axle seals),
      all coolant hoses,
      thermostat,
      valve cover gasket,
maybe check the oil pan gasket,
      valve adjustment,
      change the oil.

All of these things (except the oil) are 100 times easier to do with the engine out of the car, on an engine stand (or floor, but you probably couldn't do the oil pan gasket).

        Another idea for H22A Swap

I just ordered the Innovative Mounts for my accord and they are so awesome. I know that if you are planning to build for more horsepower in the future this would be a good idea.

I have replaced almost every motor mount in my car twice.. I have broken some while racing. It is a big jump from the stock motor..

          H22a Swap..

I would also suggest to keep the A/C and power steering.. I did and they work fine.

          Power steering is a blessing..

No H22 was ever OBD0, and no CB7 was ever OBD0. Why the hell would you need anything OBD0-OBD1. Who is doing your swap? They are fucking retarded.

You just run the wires and add them to plug in the appropriate places. You can find the info in the swap sticky.

Yes just pin the wires in your ecu plugs. As long as its a OBD 1 ECU. Were there OBD2 P13 ecu's?

Yes, because after 1996 everything was OBD2. They are associated with the H22A4 (97-end (2002?)), rather than the H22A1 (found in the 93-95 Preludes).

                            h22a tip

i also reccomend the auto to manual tensioner conversion. its a simple process and u get to avoid the headache and constant worry about the auto tensioner giving out

                            http://www.accordinglydone.com/forum...ad.php?t=10082

that should give u EVERYTHING u need to get to do the swap over. Good Luck!!
