Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Brakelight out on HUD...how to get rid of!!

    Many moons ago, my rear deck brake light went out, tried the obvious thing and swapped the bulbs...no go. So, not wanting to fail inspection at the time, and not wanting to spend ungodly amounts of money to get a shop to find where the bad section of wire was, I spliced the hot wire from one of my corners, ran it up to the one that was out and, voila, we have working brake light. Only problems is, the brake lamp out idiot light has been on in my HUD since then, and not being that technically apt back then, I left it alone. Now that I have countless members with exponentially more knowledge than I, I am asking for some assistance. I truly do not wanna rip out the dash just to get to a little light. Any suggestions?
    God created turbo lag to give eight cylinders a chance.

    It's most likely because the sensors are picking up higher resistance or pull to light that spliced bulb up.

    I have the LED conversion and my brake light warning has been on for years. Don't wait for it to burn out :P

      Well, since I'v had the hot wire spliced from a corner light for a few years, it definately has a reason to be on. I just wanted to know if there a possible easy way to get rid of it.

        You have all LED's? Do you have pics, I've been very curious about this.
