Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    dash lights

    Can any1 tell me which lights are supposed to turn on when u turn the key in the ignition all the way? When I turn the key , the battery,oil and brake light turn on . Is the check engine light suppose to be on too? And does anyone know what bulb is used for the dash?

    cel is supposed to be on. they all are. then when you turn the engine over they should all go away

      Yea the check engine light isn't on . I think the bulb burned out. I'm going to try to replace it now

            The CEL should only come on for a second or two, and then go off (NOT stay on, unless you have a code stored).

            So, if you aren't seeing it at all, then yes, the blub is probably burnt out.

              yea I figured it burnt out. I just checked my haynes manual and removing the guage is a biitch. ill change the bulb wen I really have to =]

                lol, when you really have to, you won't know....since the bulb will be burnt out. I'd suggest doing it now, its a pretty important bulb IMO.

                  did it used to turn on before? i had the situation where a friend of mine bought a car and didnt check this lil bulb. happened to be that the previous owner removed the bulb so it wouldn't like up and show the check engine light on. not cool

                    it is a pain to remove the console, but it worth it to have the CEL light working. i would do it as soon as u can. just my 2 cents

                      since i bought it , it hasnt turned on. does anyone know what light bulb it is?

                      also, is the seatbelt light supposed to be turned on if u dont have your seat belt buckled? because that light isnt on either. mayb its burnt out too
