ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Ebay is probably best for the Megan header.

To install, you unbolt it from the head, and unbolt it from the cat, and replace the old with the new. The hardest part is breaking through the rust. Get some PB Blaster.

If you can't do it without lifting the car, then yeah... up it goes. If you don't have jackstands... BUY SOME! Or borrow some. Don't be stupid and go yanking on things under the car with just a jack holding it up...
yea im about to go ahead and buy myself a pair of jackstands. not only will i need them now but later on too. and do i have to relocate the o2 sensor or something? i have an 92 coupe ex. hopefully its just 1)take off heatshield 2)unbolt header 3) slide it out 4)slide new 1 in 5) bolt it on 6) enjoy!

There are two locations for the o2 sensor on CB7s. The EX has it further down the header than the LX/DX. The Megan header should have bungs for both locations, and a plug for the one you won't be using. This will also come in handy if you ever want to hook up a wideband o2 sensor.

Just unbolt the OEM manifold from the head, break it loose from the cat and seperate the mani from the downpipe, take the two pieces out and the replace them. If you're not comfortable or don't feel confident in your abilities to turn a wrench, take it to a shop, but I don't know what they will charge you.

And go buy some jackstands. They aren't expensive, and if you plan on doing any car work, they are irreplaceable. Never never never get under your car and wrench, tug, push, pull bang, thump anything unless it's on stands. Some safety glasses are nice too. You'll end up with rust and greasy dirt in your eyes without them, guaranteed. lol

And after you get the header on and tightened down (there is a correct order to tighten the header bolts to prevent warping the flange or damaging the head itself, I can't remember it, but basically you want to evenly apply pressure, I start in the middle and work my way back and forth to the outside, torquing a little more each time until it's tight) but before you start the car, clean your fingerr/handprints off of it. That way it will color evenly and look nicer after it gets hot. I got mine used and the coloration looks like crap because the previous owner left it dirty and then got it hot.

*edit* postus interruptus owns me, deev got his in while I was interrupted in the middle of typing mine!
thanks. this helps alot. i heard that the only header that u need to move the a/c line for is the cheap ebay brand one. all other ones should fit on perfect. does anyone know the order in which to bolt on the header? id hate to mess up the headd

You should be ok. Plus, the heatshield won't go back on if you chose an "Aftermarket" header. OEM heatshields bolted/screwed into the header. (at least on the F22A1's).
                3 CB's gone....
                1 WK Overland....

Still miss the CB though......maybe one day.

Heat shield no longer exists once you get the Megan.

Unless you make custom brackets... it can be done.

i dont think anyone on here has really done a dyno difference on DC vs Megan Header onto their CB...i might be wrong though but there shouldn't be much difference between the 2 since they're both good brand names. Only difference is brand name haha

DC is a much older brand, and should be higher quality. They were owned by AEM for a while (no I hear they're owned by Pilot, which is a bad thing...)

Still, the gains aren't that much different. Megan is fine for the price. You won't gain much from ANY header, other than the Bisimoto header.
