soon i will be doing the a6 manifold swap on my a1 in the silver accord, and i also would be doing the h23 upper plenum. now i saw the thread with the blacktrax iab spacer and it was a good 5hp, but that was dynoed on an stock a6. so im wondering if i wanted both the spacer and the h23 upper plenum if this is ok to do and wont be like too much for the engine. would both give me a good amount of hp/tq?

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

too much air flow???

there is really no such thing as too much airflow in an engine as long as the fueling system can cover it. what you're probably alluding to is a sacrifice of torque for higher horsepower.
theoretically, the smaller the passage the air is forced to pass through, the faster the air is forced to go, helping low-end torque. conversely, the more sheer volume of air available for the engine, the better the volume. it is a fine balance between torque and horsepower, and requires just the right passage to get the best of both. this is why, for example, getting a head ported by someone who has no clue what they are doing could actually make the engine perform worse than stock.
there are mods that retain or improve air speed while simultaneously increasing the volume of air available. the h23 plenum with the spacer is one of these rare modifications. get the plenum (with the bigger, associated throttle body) and the spacer, bolt them to your a6 runners, and your butt-dyno will thank you.

i have an f20a dohc and the upper plenum is taller than the h22 plenum. i thought the f20a i/m was the same as the f22a6. it has the iab plate with the butterflies, so i took it all apart, added an h22 iab plate, and put my f20a upper plenum back on. it almost goes up to the black plastic lip on the firewall where the hood rests.
so i then added the h22 upper plenum instead, and its smaller (not as tall) but the t/b is obviously bigger when you put them side by side.
what are my options/better thing to do in this situation?
