Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Main Relay question.

    Ok i have a question, my car WILL NOT start, ive replaced the starter the fuel pump and the fuel filter, the only other thing i can think of it being is this main relay i see people talking about when your car will crank but wont start up.

    My question is, is the MAIN RELAY related to somehow to the Fuel pump, because my fuel rail is not priming at all, i hear the fuel pump come on once while i was working on it , but i havent hear it come on since. whats the chances this is my main relay causing me not to get fuel?

      i just check autozones price for a NEW main relay its 40 bucks. its a Duralast. my question is, will it be as much to buy a solder iron and solder, as it will to buy a new relay?



      it just sucks i cant drive my fucking car, i took it to a shop and told them to put in the fuel pump and it wasnt even the fucking problem, this car is turning into a pain in my ass. they said they are going to run a diagnostics test on it but i dont want them to tell me 100 things wrong with my car that isnt the reason why my shit wont start.

          just get a new relay. and yea it controls the fuel system. (pump, injectors)

            OR you can spend less if even any money and pull it out and resolder the points. 10x easier and cheaper.

                thank yall, i apreciate it, imma go get my shit from the shop tomorrow and get a solder gun and solder it, im just scared that its not going to work. and i'll spend another dollar trying to fix something thats not broke.

                  i think that its called "fuel pump relay" it goes under the steering wheel its about 50-60 bucks at the dealership, ive had that problem with 2 accords that ive had

                    People still call it the main relay for short. Thats what it is usually referred to but if you need the part usually that is what it might be called. Either way solder the points 10x cheaper and you dont spend close to 50-60 for a soldering iron and some solder.
