ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    low brake pedal?

Hi i recently got my cb7 and the brake pedal was low so i check the pads and the ft were fine but the back ones were low so i went ahead and replaced them but in procces of that i went to bleed the system and find out that the bleder screw is broken off and looked like it was letting air into the system so i bought a new caliper and installed it, took it for a drive and it was still low so i put a new MC in and it worked better but now i had to pump the brakes and it would work good. what do u guys think it is? is it not bleed right? if not what is the right way to bleed the system. thanks guys CB7 fo life

To bleed the brakes, u start from the furthest wheel from the mc. So the passenger rear, then driver side rear, then passenger , then driver side... if that still doesn't work u might need a new brake booster.

I have a low brake pedal 2 and all the calipers r fine and no air in the system. The brake booster is just not giving the pedal any pressure.

alone in this game . ::My Ride My Way::

to answer your question about bleeding the brakes, you have to start with the wheel furthest from the master cylinder and work your way to the closest. the pattern is passenger rear, driver rear, passenger front, driver front. when you bled the brakes did you keep an eye on the fluid level in the master cylinder? if you let it drop too low, you sucked air back in and the bleeding thing was a big failure.

You shouldn't have to bleed the brakes if you didn't take off any of the lines. As for low brake peddle or pressure, as tear2wo says; it can be your brake booster or even your master brake cylinder.

already replaced the MC master cylinder, probably brake booster ill check on it, i did keep an eye in the fluid and kept it full all time while bleeding all 4 sides. but what does me pumping my brakes mean? becuase when i pump them they work great way alot better than when i didnt install my new mc so that why i was thinking maybe a rebled. what is the correct way to bleed it as like how many times do or my buddy pump the brake pedal and when do i hold it? i know how to i jsut want to make sure i did it right

if you have the bleeder kit, it'll come with a hose that you attach to the bleeder valve. once you stop seeing air bubbles, that means you're good. you might want to pump a couple times before opening the bleeder valve to build up more pressure.
