ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    F22A4 block.. IMHO pt 2

For the head.. I would replace everything while you have it apart to insure your motor has then the performance you could hope for once it is back together. You can get bronze valve guides for a inexpensive price. Valves are ranging from $160-350 and Good spring and retainers for $225-400.

If you want good performance from your motor, you have to make the head flow and a good proper tuning..

my example of no catalytic converter and catback system would be side exit exhausts on drag vehicles.
it also depends on the diameter of the tubing used and how it is stepped. granted, im talking about performance and not daily driving use.
actually if you knew your shit you would know that theres 32 stem seals..
      16 valves , 2 seals per valve , 16x2=32 !

stem seals are split in half to fit around the stem of the valve , so get your facts straight before you correct people smart guy...

vehicles with side pipes still have a small restriction in the pipe itself to create some back pressure , look inside one of those pipes and you`ll see that the side of the pipes have little holes and a smaller pipe in that... tht causes some back pressure , or enough needed.. mind you that vehicles with side pipes usually are V8`s that don need much back pressure , unlike our little 4 cylinders...
so please look for a better example, entertain me!!!

        WRONG.
does that look like a two piece buddy? i work in a machine shop so ive worked with all kinds of valve stem seals and never in my fucking life have i seen a two piece design for a HONDA.

the collector will provide enough backpressure for a NA vehicle and like i said, it depends on the tubing diameter, length and how it is stepped. anything else is a restrictions.

look at forced inducted applications, they dont even come to a collector aka zoomies or look at the top fuel motors.
