ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    H22a build (mods)

ok guys here is another question for ya, i will be going for quite big power numbers with my N/A h22 (250hp+), what mods will i need to archieve this? and how much will it cost? roughly, cheers.

The whole 9 yeards. CAI, good header, straight-through exhaust, upgrade all internals (cams, pistsons, rods, etc), ECU, fuel system. You get my point. Basically going all balls out.

I dont think there is to many people on this board, I can only think of one that has made 250+ hp with a N/A setup. 2point6 is the name, I think he is at 280 something right now? Hes focusing on the k-series as of lately though.

I go to my local tuner shop and talk to the pros often, if you want to make big numbers your going to have build the head and up the compression, usually by changing the bottom end.

      Skunk2 pro2's
      Upgraded valve train
      h23/f22 crank/rods
      type-s pistons
      Engine management/proper tuning

With of course all "good" bolt ons would net around 230-260whp. These were the numbers given to me by someone who knows his stuff. I mean there is a lot more stuff that goes into that list but thats the gist of it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5QXBobCBmo thats one of there higher end N/A h22 motors that they built there.

Look into depth with 2point6's h22 thread. he has alot of info about making the power N/A.

If you are really planning on making above 250hp NA then you have alot of work ahead because its not cheap or easy.

First off, You are not going to be making that power on a 2.2L you are going to have to start stroking and boring the h22 to atleast 2.3L. 2.44 is what 2point6 ended up boring and stroking his h22 to be reliable enough to not blow up.

And the parts to do all of this are not shelf parts either. You are going to have to start ordering custom 12:1 pistons, h23 or f23 crank with machining and custom rods depending on stroke desired.

There are more I just dont feel like typing it all right now

alot of research needs to be done. and find a good tuner. Check out honda-tech in the prelude section there is a few threads with h22 dynos...it will give you an idea what you need to achieve 250...is that flywheel im assuming?

250 WHP is gonna take some more compression (Id go 12 ish to one), a set of healthy cams, headwork and a good tune. A nice header wiouldnt hurt either (not no DC sport junk...LOL) RMF DTR or the like... IT can be done though.... Then a 100 shot!! Fun times

ok this is sounding like its gonna cost a shait load of dollars to get n/a power so might need to re think here, what about a turbo setup for the h22a how will that go do you think apposed to the n/a setup. should be alot easier to get the power but what are they like with problems?

by the sounds of it, you'd b better off just turboing a f22 and callling it a day.

only prob with that is i will have to refirb my f22 (cause it has done close to 270,000 km) and that will cost me $3500 to do! where a good condition h22 is only gonna cost me $1500 ready to go in!
