Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    That is what I do, but since there are like 10 of these threads in the last 2 days, I am wondering if it isn't a math issue.

          I was at work today, and one of my coworkers told me to pull my plugs, he wanted to see them.. Sure enough, FRIED - The electrode and the ceramic portion are covered in a tainted purple residue... From SEAFOAM. I used to put half a can every 5 fills, and half a can into my oil 5-10 mins before an oil change to clean up the shit in the oilpan when i drop it. Now it looks like i need new plugs, and a VC gasket. The plugs had oil residue on them (the top and the threads)

          Fun times.
          Also, one other thing that needs to be clarified, we use 87Octane gas, with 10% ethanol thats already int he gas, there is nothing we can do about that. With my WAI, and exhaust header, should i be using Iridium plugs?

              We have 10% mandated ethanol here too. I've never gone below 27mpg (over a tank, 87 octane) in New England. High is 34 MPG.

              generally a restricted exhaust will kill accelleration, especially in higher RPMs. Though I'm sure other have better info than me on that.

                  That would do it too.

                  And for you equation above, were you dividing miles or KM by liters added, or the liter capacity of the tank?

                    Dividing Miles i drove by the gallon equal that i filled up in. Since half a can every 5 fills is too much, it looks like im going to need to do more. Im going to need to pull out the Marvelous Mystery Oil and put it through the combustion chambers, whatever is in there, must come out, all that extra seafoam is now draging out my car basically. Next time i go to fill up, im going to use Medium Grade - 89 Octane instead of 87

                            i dunno lol it sounds like you have some gummed up residue in there if your combustion chamber is purple like you said your plugs were i would hate to see your head...just drive her hard and maybe it will burn off. Im also thinking maybe all that seafoam fucked up your cat as well

                              Fun times. The seafoaming only started about 2 months ago, when i was having real problems. My car would stall out for no reason, and the seafoam cleared it up, now i need new plugs, cat, vc gasket... etc... im not thrilled. Im ordereing one off NOPIONLINE tomorrow, a high flow direct bolt up cat converter. 89 bucks shipped, cheaper then i can get a stock one at. so im happy.

                              Thanks guys, gonnaa replace all that shit, and see what happens. I'll bring it up to WOT a couple times, and bring it to the track for a few runs and hope for the best.

                                yeah thats a good price for a bolt on and check rockauto they might have some good prices for you. let a few more guys chime in they might have some more ideas but it could also only be your plugs that are the problem so try that first its cheapest
