ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    3rd Brake Light

So my third brake light has no power..

    - Reverse lights work
    - License plate lights work
    - Brake lights work
    - Blinkers work

The only light not working is the third light.. I have the third light spliced to my oem spoiler, which works with a 9v battery.

I have red clear tails and i have my old harness's/lights and tried putting those on but it didn't fix the problem.

the *BRAKE LAMP light is on

I tried using the black/brown box's from my other lights and that didn't work

I checked all the fuses and saw nothing wrong..

What could be the problem.. could both of my wire harnesses/boxes i tried be broken?

I think it's a simple fix and ironically i'm guessing both sets of lights/boxes are broken so I'm hoping if I get new ones it will work.. but what do you guys think?

Stupid question but did you make sure that you didn't get the polarity mixed up? I've never done this mod before, only thing I could think of right now. Either that, or there may be a short or something burned out there.

if you had the OEM spoiler stock, there's a relay that disables the third brake light. I've got an EX Coupe w/ the spoiler, and the 3rd light doesn't work.

It's an LX so I didn't have it stock. I spliced the 3rd light and connected it to the spoiler. But the third light wasn't working, nor does the spoiler. The led and 3rd light function properly but they're not receiving power.

If you have a LED spoiler you don't need the 3rd brake light, just tap off the drivers side light (on the trunk). Accords with dealer installed spoilers just had a harness that piggybacked off the drivers side inside light.
                wat?

That wire is prolly broken somewhere. It is grounded right? I did the same thing to mine. It works. Try routing/splicing to the brake light wire for one of your tails. Otherwise you gotta trace that 3rd brake light wire and figure out where power was lost.
