ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

ok well it is definitely a problem with the clutch....

sometimes I have to pump the clutch to get it to disengage and even then its only like 95% so I really have to slam it into the syncros to not get any grinding.

I am going to bleed the system this morning and maybe adjust the pedal. But the pedal was working fine a few weeks ago in the cold OH winter and now that I am in hot TX I think maybe some air or contaminents have gotten in with the hydralic fluid... Will let you know what happens.

im almost positive that its your clutch. this might help. before u come the a complete stop shift it to first while the car is still rolling. it helps, you might have to hold your clutch down but its better then forcing it into gear. one more thing i had my pedal adjusted and it didnt work. i change the master cylinder and nothing. i'm gonna change the slave cylinder and if that doesn't work then i have to take it to the shop for a clutch. anyways if u fix it first let me know cause we're having the same problem.

going to get my girlfriend to help me replace all the fluid... I went and got a bleeding kit but I really want to get out all of the old fluid cause it is very dark... I think the color should look more like apple juice than this really dark green liquid.

One thing im worried about is that it seems that a small amount of fluid is coming out of the master cylinder inside the cab where the piston goes in and out.. I cant remember if thats normal or not.. im guessing not. Also my slave cylinder is crazy rusty! I'm guessing it isnt OEM and its some cheapo steel part from china instead of something thats suppose to last longer. Well slave cylinders are cheap.. I might just replace it for giggles if the bleed doesnt work.. and if it still doesnt work then I will replace the master.

BTW does anyone know if it is normal for a clutch that has been pressed down to remain down when the car is off? I would think that the springs would press the clutch plate back onto the flywheel even with the car off...

            ok got it working.

We drained out the old fluid and got a whole bunch of air in the system which took forever to bleed out but we finally got the new stuff in.

So there was this really thick oily black residue on the bottom of the resevoir and I have a feeling that had something to do with it. But now with the new fluid in and new honda MTF in the car shifts great and even at high rpm which is great... still worried about not having the washer on the drain plug for the tranny.

            So hope that helps....

is the slave cylinder moving when someone presses on the clutch peddle? Mine moves about an inch when it is pressed in.

I'm sure it doesn't move. I will replace it tomorrow on my day off. If not I will take it to the trans shop. Maybe I'll just upgrade the clutch and flywheel with Fidanza.
