ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Car Vibrates @ certain speed/rpm

    Hey Guys,

Hope someone can help me diagnose my problem...

    Situation: Slight uphill, @ about 2.2k-2.5k revs....@ 80-85kmh

The car vibrates, when im accelerating...but when the vibrating starts.. i let go of the throttle and then the virbrating stops... and when i step on it again the vibrating starts again...this is only @ the speeds and rpms i mentioned above...

NB: Only happens in 4th gear.... say i manually shift to 3rd gear , and im still travelling at the same speed it no longer shakes..my mech friend says due to the lack of low end power?

Help guys? My car is auto btw..

Yeh, i thought about that... but that doesnt explain why it doesnt occur in 3rd gear then.. and only in 4th gear

well when your on a uphill your suppose to be on a lower gear...hence no vibration in third...at 2k rpm's and in 4th it will vibrate just like if you were to take off in third or fifth...it means your in the wrong gear for the load...our motors have good all around power as long as your matching your rpms and speed with the road your in flat or uphill...

Im having almost the same problem but it appears at 2nd too, not only 3rd.
It stops vibrating when I go faster or slower. Just the certain speed + rpm
it appears at 40-50km/h for me.
                      Excuse my language.

I had the same problem awhile back, check the balance of your tires first, if that's okay, then jack your car up a bit and tug on the axles, if you feel any slop, in the CV joints or wherever, then its most likely that. How old are the axles? chances are the CV joints internally have gotten worn out even if the boots look new/have no rips.

                          Possibilities are:

a] Rough or worn wheel bearing.
                          b] Damaged driveaxel
                          c] Tires are not balanced
d] Tires are out of round
e] Worn cv joint inner or outer

How do i check the wheel bearing on the car???? no sure how old everything is since i bought the car just over 1.5yrs ago.....the cv boot is actually ripped hahaha...and the drive axle you talk about, is that the same as the cv shaft?? or something different?

EDIT: according to most replies, i can safely assume that this is MOST likely not related to low end power missing correct?

check your rims for any warpage to the inside, that will cause it to vibrate too
