ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Turbo CB7: MANY QUESTIONS

alright im planning to pick up a 90-93 accord. been looking up and down this forum cause im trying to gather up a plan for a turbo'd CB7.

Im not new with turbo'd cars. I have a 91 turbo integra and i wanted to get something different. Something more "stealth"

Im going to be taking off all my turbo parts off my integra and was wondering about a couple of things.

    1. I have a obd0 and obd1 chipped pr4 ecu. Would i be able to use that in an accord? Im guessing the 90-91 would but just wondering if it would work out right if i just burned a stock f22a1 .bin onto it?

    2. I have a set of dsm bluetop 450's. I've read that swapping them into the accord is a direct fit(im guessing its the 90-91 accord obd0). If i were to get a 92-93 accord, would installing the dsm injectors into it be the same as installing it into a 92-93 integra?(using the dsm injector clips and resistor box from obd0 car)

    3. Im going to be using a t3/to4e .63 trim turbo. On the integra, there was major turbolag and 1st and 2nd gear were practically useless and didnt spool hard till 3rd gear. I know the accord has a bigger motor (2.2L) over the integra (1.8L), will the turbo i have be sufficient for it?

I probably have more questions but these are the ones that have been on my mind for awhile.

    Thanks
    Jon

Yes, that is correct. In addition, they all came with injector resistor boxes stock, so your DSM 450cc will swap right in, however, some people have had to drill out the o-rings a bit, and others have had them fit just fine, so that will depend on your specific situation. Also, on your question about turbo suitability, the best thing would be to find the compressor map and run through the math to find out what kind of air flow requirements you need for this motor and where in the turbos efficiency range you would be with it.

Oh well that saves me an extra $+time spent looking for another set of injectors.

On another note, i've located a .bin in Xenocron's bin directory and found an f22a stock bin. I'm planning to use the chipped obd1 integra ecu and burn that f22a bin onto it and see if it works out. Does anyone see any flaws in this test?

On the turbo note, i guess i'll be doing more research into that one.

          Thanx pirate for the info

Alright just got an email from Chris (xenocron) and he says that using a pr4 obd1 ecu will work if i use the stock f22a map. Sweet more money saved haha

Got a quick question. I have 200k miles on the odometer...rebuild, swap, or boost and blow it? Opinions are appreciated.

200k matnenced miles? do a compression check, adjust the valves, make sure the timing belt is good, make sure the motor is healthy and with a good tune it should be fine. imo

Yea i was thinkin about that too. Go through all the regular check ups and then boost that sucka!

Another question. I found the auto to 5spd swap

                http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...=&threadid=588

I've also read up some other ones that say i will have to weld things up. Will I have to weld things up if i just swap a f22a manual to a f22a auto? I read that 5spd swap guide but doesnt say anything about welding.

                Let me know.

the tranny mount does sit different but if you didnt want to cut and weld you can get a mount from here.

esp makes auto to 5 speed swap mount that requires no cutting or welding.
