ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    clutch help!!!!!

recently my clutch has been acting up. sometimes when i turn on my car and start driving i push on the gas and it takes long to get up to speed and the car revs back and forth. but after a few minutes the problem goes away and i could shift fine. also my clutch pedal has no pressure for the first half and then has pressure towards the end. could this be the culprit? or mayb its time for a new clutchh

clutch fluid reservoir was filled half way when i checked it today and i jus filled it to the top. im not sure if the car revving back and forth is a clutch master cylinder problem or the actual clutch itself

Did you check your fluid level in the clutch master cylinder?

When you say it revs back and forth, you don't mean just at idle, correct? It's when you are moving? Can you give an RPM range?

I agree that you might need a new clutch, just trying to make sure.

EDIT: Beat me to it about the fluid level (typed too slow).

the rpms dont rev back and forth, the actual car does. it happens between 2500 and 3500 rpms. i push the gas and the rpms go up but the car goes nowhere. feels like its struggling to keep up.

Definitely classic bad clutch. Majestic Honda is good for getting a new OEM parts (at less than normal dealer price, most of the time), if you don't mind waiting. You might have to resurface (or replace if out of spec) the flywheel, like I mentioned above, so you might have to plan for not having a car for a couple of days at some point (assuming you do it yourself).

lets get this problem taken care of before you are stranded somewhere....it sounds to be a worn clutch, go with a stage 1 or 2 clutch(gripsport clutches are very good price wise)

yea especially since it's my daily driver. i rather lose it 4 a few days than for a few weeks. i was thinking with just getting an oem clutch from pep boys for about 100$. i dont want to get a performance clutch before i get my h22. do you guys think its a good idea?

OEM clutches really aren't bad if you only have a few mods. You could also look at this as the time to put the H in, if you have the funds.

If you are going to do the H soon anyways, you might not need to really care about what clutch you get. You could just get one to make it till then.

I wouldn't either, but if he's going to get an H22 soon then he could go with a not as good clutch for now and save some money, and then get a nice clutch with the H.

OEM from honda clutches are good, or Exedy, for mostly stock cars.
