Size of Stock Rotors

I've searched the forum...i came up with answers..

But two different answers...i've been lead to belief that some cb7's came stock with 262mm diameter front rotors..and some came with 282mm front rotors...

Could someone please clarify this please...


And IF the stock size is 262mm, is it possible to upgrade to 282mm rotors, without the need to change calipers...?

Im not too sure of the diameter, but why don't you measure your own so you know exactly for yourself what you have.

the 282's are stock in the CD6, CD8 (SiR) and CF2 (SiR Wagon) as well as a number of other Honda models, namely preludes, RA1 Ody's and a few others.

Im not too sure of you can upgrade the rotor size without changing the calipers.

Lets wait for somebody else who is more knowledgeable to chime in

The 282mm brake rotors are from the wagon and the prelude vtec models.

If you want to stay hub over rotor you will need to get the wagon rotors, calipers and pads. Or either upgrade to NSX or Legend calipers.

If you are converting to rotor over hub and want to upgrade the brake you will have to get the prelude vtec rotors from the 93-96 prelude and use the wagon calipers, prelude vtec calipers or upgrade to legend or nsx calipers.

why were my JDM CB9 front rotors smaller than the CD6 SiR rotors??

My cb7 has 282mm front rotors stock. Only the 2.2 EXi model and the wagon has them in Europe, all 2.0 liter models has 260mm rotors.

I'm doing an Acura Vigor front brake swap, 11.1 inch rotors vs. 10.2 inch ones, bigger calipers, and bigger pads. Same pads as the NSX/Prelude and same calipers as the Prelude. Pair that up w/ SS brake lines and it'll stop you FAST.

Yes. But just get new accord pads so you don't messup your new rotors.

for the 92-93 models, is there a difference in fron rotors between the lx and ex models? or is it just the ABS shit?

Alot of the sites, i've looked at recently states the CB to have 10.2".... but alot also say its 262mm......Now... 10.2" does not equal 262mm... it equals 260mm. In reality would those 2mm make a difference regardless of whether i have a 260mm or 262mm rotor?
