ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Burning oil

I got a new cylinder head a while back but after i put it on i noticed that when i press the gas pedal hard blue smoke comes out the tail pipe. I read on here that some said it could be valve seats but since my head is rebulit, what else could cause the car to burn oil? Its only under heavy exceleration because when rolling normal no smoke comes out. Oh yea n when i turn it on in the morning if i dont let it sit for a while a whole bunch of smoke comes out but then stops.

Valve seals. That can usually cause that to happen. Unless your piston ring just decided all of a sudden to go out on you. You sure they rebuilt it right?

Have you done anything on your bottom end. It's maybe your piston rings...

you better make sure who ever rebuilt your head did a proper job. sounds like it can be the valve seals.

Im sure they did a good job so i guess its the rings because i havent done anything on the bottom. But what could cause them to just go out like that? Before the new head it didnt do that. Maybe it is the valves? I dont know.

Common sense dictates if it DID NOT do that before you took off the head and it DID do it after you put the new head on. That would mean the head is most likely not done right or you did something wrong.

could also be your valve guides. They might not have done em right or at all. Usually they bore em out, install liners, use valves with bigger stems, or replace the guides. Dont know which is best for a honda head.

How many kms/miles since the head was put on?

If it was seals it should smoke on start up and on heavy engine decel (engine braking)

More then likely you rings are toast. No more leaking past the valves so there is more cyl pressure.

To settle if its his rings do a compression or leakdown test. That will tell you. And it will eliminate quite a bit of things that could be wrong instead of all of us guessing where its at. I am still gonna say its somewhere in the head where they screwed up. But those two tests will verify what is going on.
