ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    dual exhuast opinion

i have a 93 lx coupe f22a1, mod are short ram intake, and aftermarket muffler, i want to put on a dual exhuast, but im not sure what are the pros and con ? Does anyone have pics? and what about side pipes? thanks

why? it will just make the car heavier. a single exhaust pipe is more than enough lol

Looks are only important to the person that owns the car...

However, dual exhaust, unless carefully designed, will actually decrease the performance of the car. Aside from adding weight, it will create a situation where the exhaust flow does not have enough velocity. It can be designed with properly sized piping and proper bends, but it won't be easy to design it so it has enough flow velocity to perform (without stagnation or turbulence).

Also, a 4 cylinder engine can't have a true dual exhaust... so basically, you'll have one of two things... a Y'd exhuast pipe halfway through the system, or an extra pipe sticking out of what should be a single exhaust.

Finally, anyone who knows anything about these cars KNOWS that they never came with a V6... so it really makes no sense.

Side exit exhaust on a cb7? I think they'd srape at stock ride height over some speed bumps.

I just put a new Magnaflow dual tipped exhaust, single in/dual out muffler. I like it, its close my oem look kinda, except bigger tips and more freeflowing.

Duals on a CB would kill your low end torque....
Or would it kill high end?
                            It's going to kill something.
U wont like it. If you think its faster after doing it, then u are a crazy human.

too big exhaust pipe/system in NA(non-boosted) will hurt your low end torque. Duals muffler on an stock NA cb7 will hurt performance , plus it require real some big work by the exhaust shop, since the spare wheel well is in the way. Anyway dual muffer suppose to show that you got some power under the hood - so it up to the OP to decide if he to show or go..

Personally I like duals muffler - and yes I have Dual muffers on my cb7 with just the 2" tip one.
