ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Parts for the h22A?

Quick question, when buying a air intake for a h22a engine, were looking for prelude or will the accord one fit? I already know i have to change the header to the prelude one. and also th exhaust wont make a diff rite since nothing is changed after the cat? or i have to get a prelude exhaust system??

Actually, either one will fit. I originally had the Accord AEM CAI on my car, but changed it out for the 93 Prelude one for the larger diameter and more airflow. Of course I had to modify the battery tray and modify the mounting location in the fender, but it fits.

yeah exhaust will be fine use accord when buying aftermarket, and i bought a weapon r intake a little while ago and it has a big diameter already and their filters are great! so you could use one of those too, i highly recommend them, because mi have use alot of other and weapon r is still the best

It is suggested you use a cai designed for the Prelude, I had the same question. And as described to me, on an H22, a short ram intake designed for the F22 you will make around 1whp and with a cold air intake you will actually lose whp. All of this is due to the decreased interior diameter. Also I am pretty sure those who had a F22 intake on their H22 felt an improvement when they switched to a stock H22 intake.

          holy crap, stop overthinking guys.

Either or will work, just make sure the diameter of the piping is equal to or bigger than the diameter of the throttle body.

Which means the Accord intake is too small...

Yes, either will work. The Prelude intake is the proper diameter, but it's a tighter fit (my AEM intake came with a rubber bushing, and a warning that if I installed it without that bushing that my warranty was void... well... I couldn't use the bushing. )

To make it easier, just get a 3" diameter short ram. The CAI doesn't really do that much more.
