Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Performance Chip??

    hey guys i was wondering what u guys think of this performance chip i seen on ebay:

    Does this actually work? or is one big scam cuz it seems a nice and cheap way to boost the car up a little bit. thanks

      If it sounds to good to be true it is. Those are a complete waste of time. End up costing you an extra $20 a week in fuel for no gain in power.

        i'd rather invest that money into a top of the line tuneup than chance my engine with those "sports" chips.

                honestly man i just got my cb7 so i dont even know wut type of engine i have. but its a 92 EX-R and it seems to be running very smooth for a car thats almost 16 years old now.

                  probably the F22A6. you EXR is basically our EX.

                  just look under the upper radiator hose on the transmission housing youll see a letter and a bunch of numbers.

                    i wouldn't use this. like they said, it runs your car really rich which in time will hurt your car. plus gas mileage would be really poor for such little hp gain

                      most of the time its just a resistor u can pick up from radio shack for like 50 cents. thats all they really are on egay IMO

                        Some are actual chips that have a crappy fuel map... They just dump fuel into your engine, making you actually lose power... If they give any power, they probably make you run lean, which will destroy your engine.


                        ANY ECU modification has to be custom tuned for your car. No generic chip is going to do anything good.

                          agree with them for some odd reason ppl think adding fuel means u have upped the hp. dont do it
