ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I have exhausted my search for Days... here is my problem I have a 1992 Honda accord LX.I took it to the shop to get painted It and it ran when I got it there. and When whever I went to start it it started all the time.anyways when I dropped it off around oct. (cold weather)it ran fine. now when I went to go get it they tell me they had to push it in because it would not start. so I check and found out I have no spark. I replaced the external coil, two main relays and the pick up coil. now I dont know where else to look I though i checked all the grounds And I dont see any by the thermostat...
I also I checked ondemand.any help would be greatly appricated..

    Thank you
    Eddie

If you don't see a ground by the thermostat, then thats probably your problem.

There should be a cable from the main harness that hooks up to the t-stat housing.

Could be a battery. Could be a ground.

Could be your igniter. Replace that sucker. Take off the dizzy cap, rotor, and dust shield. You'll see a little brown part... like a 1x1 square, sticking out with 3 wires on it. The wires will have a gummy rubber cover on the connections. Carefully pull those wires off, undo the two screws holding the igniter in, and slide it out. Put a new one in (or a used junkyard one... I always get a few when I go ) and see if it fixes your problem.

Also, are the main relays that you used brand new? Or guaranteed to work? Go back to your stock main relay if you still have it. Even put the old coil back on. Change one thing at a time, or you could be introducing new problems while fixing the old. And yes, even new parts sometimes don't work!

I was about to say ignitor too. But check your grounds and batt first. Those would be the easy cheaper checks. The ignitor can cause an off and on situation you describe. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. It can do what a main relay does sometimes if mis diagnosed.

shift cable has absolutely nothing to do with the reason you're not sparking.

could it be the battery fuse? left my car in a parking building for a week, then when i started it, it didn't run. battery was still strong. turned out it was the fuse.

                      imho
