ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Need to know

Alright so I've looked in the upgrade for the intake manifold, and I cant find the P12 ECU.... The only ECU I could find is the P14.... Will that be fine for the H23 intake manifold on a F22A1? Help please

    #2
No. P14 is a DOHC engine and you would need to wire in a knock sensor. Just stick with stock or find a pt6.

There's always a few on ebay for $50-$80 shipped.

They're a little expensive right now... I'd wait til they drop to $50-$60 shipped. I paid $60 shipped for mine. If you have an auto, make sure the one you get came from an auto... if you have a manual, you can use either a manual or auto ECU... I dunno if there is actually a difference (does anybody know?), but it will guarantee you get the right TCU.

looked alittle harder and found more, but which PT6 is best. I believe there is 4 different ones, PT6-A50, A51, A52, and L11

there is no difference.......a pt6 is a pt6. dont worry about the numbers after. Just make sure you get an auto if you have an auto and a 5 speed if you have a 5 speed. The car will not run right if you get the wrong ecu. Also, the pt6 really wouldnt make that big of a difference will it seeing how the EX makes its extra power from the cam mostly, intake, and exhaust mani. I dont see a point in switching till you ATLEAST switch the cam.

As I said on your thread on HHU, the P12 is from a 4th generation Prelude S. The F22A1 powered, low-end Prelude.

The P14 will work with the full H23. As NAiL said, you'd need to wire in a knock sensor if you want to use it on the F22A. It'll run the engine, but not correctly. Certainly not an upgrade. (the number of cams really doesn't matter to the ECU... nobody said that it did here, but it's a common misconception nonetheless).
