Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

i believe a way to test the booster is when the car is off, press the brake pedal, it should get REALLY hard. You should only replace the booster when the pedal is really hard to press down when the car is ON, not off. When the car is OFF its supposed to be firm after like 2-3 presses, since it looses vacuum. I would say check your brake lines and sometimes the inner O-ring inside the Master can go bad, causing the pedal to sink. As for the ABS system, its really not worth it to fix that, I think it costs around 2K for an ABS motor, pump and all that crap, its VERY costly to repair.

Pump your brake pedal about 2-3 times like said with the car off and then start it the pedal should shink down=good booster no chang or doesnt pump up bad booster, How are the calipers I assume ABS you have 4 wheel disc??
If you have a claliper slide that is stuck or binding it can act like a master cylinder problem take your calipers off and lube all the slides, If you have rear drums check you wheel cylinders if they are leaking then you are loseing pressure there

besides each disk and the master cylinder is there any where else that there can be a leak? because i highly doubt that if the ABS motor isnt working that shouldnt cause me to lose pressure in the brake pedal.. it should just cause the ABS to not work right?
