Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

yes, i have a JDM F22B still running off the stock pt6, all the details are on my MR page
repainting the same color is always the way to go... if changing color, then it's gon' b big $$$ for a well done job

Before this goes any further...
ti's 92 accord, please pay attention to this. I caught a few things in your original posts that people seem to have ignored... and it could be a very expensive lesson to learn.
The F22B is a JDM engine. We DO NOT have this engine in any car sold in the US. The 91 Prelude has a B21 engine, which isn't compatible with our cars in any way. Not a bit of it. Not the head, not the ECU, nothing.
Honda motors from the late 80's on have the displacement size in the name. F22 is a 2.2L engine. H23 is a 2.3L engine. J35 is 3.5L. F18, 1.8L. See the pattern?
DOHC is useful when tuning the cams with adjustable cam gears. The DOHC valvetrain is also smaller (the valves and springs, that is), so it's less moving mass. However, DOHC is heavier than SOHC, for obvious reasons.
The F22B from the JDM Prelude Si (the equivalent car to our H23 equipped Si, as they didn't get the H23 there) will work with the PT3 or PT6 ECUs. However, the P39 from the JDM Prelude Si would be proper.
Worth the swap? It's up to you. Is 160hp, 20hp over the F22A (as well as a lower mileage engine, if you get a good one) for about $850? Plus the cost of replacing the timing belt, water pump, and all associated seals? Clutch and axles would be a good idea while you're at it.
I don't think I'd get one. It's a nice motor, but only a small bump in power. I'd save more money for an H22 or F20B if I wanted to swap motors. If not, I'd stick with modding the F22A. At least those are extremely cheap to come by. I can get an F22A head for about $50 very easily...

because vtec is just a gas saver. when you get past a sertan speed vtec kicks in and adjust the cams. its just a gas saver. the h22 vs h23 is that the h22 is vtec and allows more air and gas mixture. if you bore out the h23 intake and outtake system you can get the same if not more hp at a continues speed.

VTEC is a gas saver with a SOHC, that's true. to a point. DOHC VTEC is another story. VTEC provides two cam profiles at once. So you get low end power, and then high end power. With a single cam profile, you have one or the other. An aftermarket non-vtec cam will give a soggy low end.
VTEC was developed for the NSX. Believe me... it was NOT intended to function as a gas saver!
