ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I don't think anyone here has ever done it. It would be pretty cool to see, but somehow, it would kinda take the CB7 out of the CB7! Once you replace the frame, it's more of a kit car!

I didn't say change the layout of the chassis. I just think it would be cool to take an already great Honda platform and make it weigh less and more rigged. what good is having horse power and torque if you cant use it to the full potential. that is why we do suspension up grades better weal's and tires exhaust and ECU tuning. All of those things modify an already great car by taking the original CB7 out and replacing it with the new. you say taking the CB7 out of the CB7 I say showing the other guys my 4 door is better than thairs.

That's true... I dunno, perhaps just because a tube frame seems like such an exotic modification. I mean, you're not really putting something new on the car, you're nearly replacing everything that IS the car!

I know one guy that made a tube front end for his 3rd gen... He put an H22 in there.

now are you talking about the front subframe like where the traction bars hook up? or the actual frame. because when i think subframe i think of that piece and they make the traction bar replacement for that guy.

Your right they do make a traction bar. But that only solves one problem, it adds one to. It adds extra weight. And it does nothing to the rigidity of the chassis! You still get all that flex during hard braking and cornering. The added weight might not seem like much but in the grad scheme of thing every pound counts.

I've got a traction bar that replaces the front crossmember... doesn't add any weight.

ya i dont see a traction bar adding that much weight. have you handled one of those crossmembers? they arent light. then if you used good tube steel then i think it would be benificial
