ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Would this be worth it?

I am considering doing a trade with my 2002 337 GTI. It has mild mods and only 39,000 miles on it. I am thinking of trading for a 1999 Civic Si with about 56,000 on it and alot of work done to it. Here the basics:
    B20 bottom end-43,000 on it
B16 Head and intake-original with 56,000 on it
    Forged Pistons/Rings/Rods
    Greddy Turbo Kit
    Greddy FMIC
    3 in exhaust
    3 pc 5zigen wheels
    repainted nissan 350z blue
    lowered
    Dyno's 325WHP @ 10 PSI on 91 octane gas
    etc
lots more done but you get the idea
Is this a good trade? Here a pic of his car

looks like a pretty good deal i have seen your v dub on here and it's sick i love those r32's though, but that civic looks nice just needs like a lip or something up front, cause the back and sides stick down a little farther, but its got more potential for power gains too, i'd say do it simply because civic are 1000000000000000000000000000000 times easier to work on than vw's

I think it depends a lot more on whether YOU think it's a good trade.

No the car is from Arizona that I am looking at. Yeah he has a front lip for it, just not installed. That why it looks a little off.
What would you value the cat at? His that is
Oh yeah he also has a authentic Mugen valve cover that goes with it as well

If I owned the VW, I'd trade it for the SI. I personally love SI's and plan on owning one eventually. But, in the end it's up to you.

i'd prolly say it would definately go for 8 grand without the mods so 12 grand or more it would definately get no more than 15 though..at all

Its gonna get stolen. Those things get stolen like no other car I have seen. Id get it if you had a garage or something to store it in. Other than that I would avoid it. Thats just me loved the em1 si but hated how thieves could get in so easily.

That car would be great!....just install an after market immobilizer and you are gold...

...then tell your insurance company that you installed an immobilizer and they will send you chocolates.

**looks like the SI is missing a front lip

                      re

Also forgot to mention that it comes with an assload of parts as well
Including a Greddy 4-2-1 header, AEM fuel filter, extra set of HID's, AEM intake, and a REAL MUGEN valve cover.

Another question is the mugen valve cover really rare and exspensive Im not sure myself. It is an authentic one as well
