Local cops maybe, but if you are dealing with highly skilled CHP I doubt it. In their academy you learn how to "drift" and take turns for real. Of course it's probably not even "JDM" drifting as far as technique goes.... but the cop doesn't need to "show off" to keep up with it's prey. They'll be the smart ones to slow down and break when needed and catch up after you make a mistake and crash etc.

It can happen....Just lowering springs isn't good enough to for taking turns Initial D style...especially in a FWD cb7 in the mountains.
Not saying it'll happen to you B, but you got extra weight up front now and that engine screams torque steer. With my auto h22, I used to go with friends up in the hills in the back of Solano towards Lake Berryessa. It's hella cool at night but dangerous too. I snapped a tie rod taking turns to sharp... the adrenaline rush is unexplainable but at the same time it's dumb at the same time as I had a couple close encounters with the ditch. Just don't end up like this dude....
