ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

If you can find a v6 camry with a 5 speed I'd get it. Those are quite rare
Just be sure they kept up with maintenance on the car.

If you get an Integra, your gonna have to worry about theft also.

          For $5000 I'm drawing a blank.

          How about a Maxima?

I would get that. Good stuff. Quicker than most stock cb7 and wont have to worry about emissions. Also TRD backs it up pretty well, My friend had one but his was a 4 banger. He had intake and my accord when it was stock had intake. I smoked it haha 2 cars.

Why not get... a cb7? Just looking at Camrys makes me sleepy. You could also purchase a low-mileage 1994-97 Civic. Not sure what generation that is, but my sister bought a manual '94 civic coupe for $1400 a few years ago, it's got over 250k miles on it and still runs great. It was even side-swiped by another car and it's still going fine. You could dump a few grand into one and get a pretty fast, nimble car. Just my opinion.

                  Sleeper!
get a TRD supercharger and a TRD (borla) exhaust and you have yourself a fantastic car that will surprize alot of people (sounds GREAT too)

*edit* don't forget the suspension upgrades!

I probably wouldn't mind that car in black, but with the tan interior I don't really like it.

Anyone know anything about modding Maximas? My mom has a 2005 maxima 265 hp... but its an automatic... I wonder if I'd like one of those older ones with 190 hp if it were a manual... but now that I think of it, I want a light car if possible. Her car is sooo heavy compared to my cb. I think the older maximas were lighter though.

Yes the older ones came in manual. As for finding them for 5g thats another story. Manuals usualy more expensive than the auto since they are harder to come by in some areas.

Nothing wrong with a heavy car, they have higher horsepower/torque for that problem. The 4th generation Maximas did come in manual. They are really nice cars.

So I talked to my Uncle, and he thinks I should go for one of the newer V6 accords. I think they don't look nearly as good as the cb7s but I could deal with it I guess... any thoughts?

If you can get the 03+ accord coupe with the six speed V6, by all means! otherwise you'll be stuck with automatic with the V6. And the older accords with the V6 have automatic transmission issues.

To be honest the newer 03+ accords with the four bangers and 5 speed manual transmission is pretty peppy. I'm currently eyeing those up for myself
