ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    flaming and 4WS lowering

Dont you just love it when illiterate half-wits have absolutely no idea how to have a mature, responsible argument, so they just plain out flame you. It just shows that the majority of the time they are just un-educated idiots with no life experience and undoubtedly no potential to succeed. Anyways guys, was wondering if anyone knows if i can lower my 4 wheel steer 2 and 1/4 or 2 and half inches? Im unsure if there is a different setup with the springs/shocks in a 4 wheel steer, its really hard to get info on a 4WS, so if anyone knows your advice will be greatly appreciated

    cheers

    vinnie

yo vince, the CB4's have different rear dampers, but the rear springs are similar

there are 4WS dampers made by tanabe (sustec super street).

but im not too sure if u can drop it to the height u want.

oh yeah, ur rear UCA's are different too, so take caution, im not sure about their limitations.

    cheers

        all is cool

i have a buddy driving a CB2 who is having a super hard time getting even the OEM dampers for his 4ws.

Monroe doesnt have them here. so he found a set of Tanabe's which were too hard for his liking.

hit me up in MSN if u have anything mate

It seems that the more features Honda puts on their cars, the more complicated it is to modify them! It's nice to see that we have enough international members to actually help with an option that wasn't available in the US (well, blizzard here is quickly becoming the authority on the Asian models )

Where did you get flamed? On this board? For this question? You have a legitimate question, and you're perfectly capable of stringing together a coherent sentence... unlike many people on this website... what is there to flame?

ahah, its just that we have those types of cars here Deev..

vinnie, i pulled some pics for ya, Tanabe Sustecs for 4ws
(their not in good condition at all tho)
left is OEM tokico 4ws rear damper, right is Tanabe

the base is exactly the same width as the 4ws. the 4ws has a wider base than the CB3

You may have those types of cars, but you're usually the one to give the information It's a good thing! US guys know 4 trim levels and 3 engines for these cars. We're missing out on a LOT of stuff! We never got 4ws. We never got carbureted engines. We never got anything smaller than 2.2L.

yeah, down here in Australia we had leather and 4WS, all 2.2i though. Cheers Deeve, the dude already got banned, second strike i think, in some thread about how tough he was. Im quite unsure about a lot of the US models, over there you guys have a lot greater access to parts for modding, its very rare to find them over here. Sometimes order from the states but the shipping is a killer. Anyways guys, take it easy

                cheers

Very true. The US seems to be the hub of disposable tuning. The quality parts available to us are probably just as expensive (maybe even more so... the Japanese parts are probably cheaper for you to get!) Still, our regular auto parts stores, and even home electronics stores, seem to carry lots of aftermarket car parts! Not good ones, but still parts. I can go into Circuit City (a place to buy computers, tvs, and other various home electronics) and buy a Ractive muffler!

We got leather... not sure why we never got 4ws. We had Preludes with it, but it wasn't extremely popular. I can sort of understand the use for it in Japan, where roads are tight... but in Australia? You guys probably have more open space than we do here! I think most of your cars are JDM spec though, or damn close.

yeah, the 2.2 4ws is not available in Japan tho..

i havent seen a JDM OEM leathered CB. all ive seen is fabric (grey) and the Si-T's had rear headrests.

We in Malaysia got mostly what the Japs had in Japan (grey imports) the official distributor and assembler sold the US spec CB (no chrome for 9091, corners with reflectors)

The Aussies had pretty much the same as Japan (RHD yo) albeit with minor differences
