Ok so i see people ask this from time to time, i think most of the older members got the drift but new members will not know how it works and some people probably dont even know it exists.
So i figured i would write a quick write up on how to use it, usefull purposes, and when NOT to use it.
And i didn't know where this should be so i assumed Beginner OT would be a good start, move/and or sticky as you please mods!

*How to see yours*
To check to see if you have any +/- reps, click USERCP in the top left hand corner of your screen. Refer to illustration-
Your next screen should look like this:
The box above will show you your current +/- reps. I am not sure what the colors mean as far as the green/purple squares go but i know green is good LOL. Youll notice it shows the time and date of the rep and any comments added by the person who gave you the rep. You may also click the name of the thread to see any corresponding comments or posts. NOTE- you cannot see who left the rep, only that its been left. This is too avoid WW3 and its only fair. Also in the top right hand corner, it shows you the total rep points, in the case above it being 23, and you can hide this box by clicking the arrow in the furthermost corner on the right.

*How to leave Reps*
In the picture above, note the two tier scale symbol circled in yellow in the bottom left corner. This is how you leave reps for people on the forum. By simply clicking on it once, a screen like this should pop up:
In this box all you can do is approve or disapprove of the post and leave a comment. The person getting the rep will NOT be able to see who left it, as this feature is disabled.

*How to check other members reps*
By looking under another members post count, one can see if someone has good or bad reputation. Most everyones ive seen are green and usually say something to the effect of, "Ralphie is cool.......so far". I have also seen something to the effect of, "Ralphie is on a distuingished path". These really dont mean anything, as its just ways to distuingish levels in the rating system i believe.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Usefull purposes-
Ok so sure if someone posts that they dont like budweiser or red/clears you could flame them with this system. Is that really fair? I dont think so. Its cowardly and just blatently an abuse of the system as its intended to be used to accuratley build status among board members.
So some of the uses i would see usefull would include:
*Sales! If a member has a FS thread, whether its a traditional or Ebay thread and the sale goes smoothly you can go back to the FS thread and leave that member + rep and state in your comment just what you would for + feedback on ebay!
*Beginners! No dont go flame the noobs lol.....if your browsing the beginners section and see a CB7Tuner member point a newb in the right direction or actually go in depth with an answer as opposed to saying "search" or "bwahhahahaa" you could leave a + comment on that individual.
*Flaming! On the other hand, if you see someone flaming a newbie or just being outright disrespectful you could in turn leave - rep since we dont all have the powah to beat people with the mighty JDM banstick lol.
And as far as when NOT to use it, i kind of already covered that i guess. Its just not meant to be used in personal attacks on members where a PM or email would suffice. Leaving comments like, "your the dumbest newb on the board" probably will end up in vacation time for you lol. Just read it before you post it, thats usually the best bet.
Ok so this is mighty long, and if it answers one persons question without them having to make a new thread i guess it was worth it. Post your comments concerns but dont give me - rep ROFL!
