ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

actually Hasport has now just released their mounts for this swap and they are about 2,000 dollars so if you spent 2grand on mounts because they are the only company that made them and what is it.... 3grand for the motor then you are deffinately ballin'...........

Having a shop fabricate mounts for you may cost less than that!

We have those too. As already mentioned EK/Eg chassis are popular. Same goes for the DC chassis and one BB6 I know of.

i thought we already discussed about the k swap?
anyway i did some researdh and the engnine is spun around 180 degrees.

so basically that mean we pretty much need a whole subframe, which explains why hassport selling them at 2grand.

that said i swore i read somewhere that we pretty much argued between the k and h and which is better for our cars. and i heard somwhere the h have like one of the best cranks out there and can rev it higher.

but i do admit the k head is sweet and u can't beat a 6-speed.

the way i see it just go for a h22 block and figure out how to rotate the k head on the h block and just rev the sucker outta there

I second that. Honestly if someone wanted to do the swap the hardest part would be the mounts. And I would try and facbricate some solid mounts. You can pick up a k24 long block for cheap like less than 1000, My roommate only payed 550 for a k20(rsx-s) longblock it just didn't have a intake mani, and the trans was aloready out of the car.(it was recently wrecked and sent to a junk yard where he found it. He had a k20 swapped coupe before that he did himself, i'll have to ask him for the pics when i see him this weekend. I thinking the cheapest route to go down for this swap is a k24/k20 head and hope and pray you can find a rsx trans. cheap cu that seems to be the most expensive thing right now. And that would probably be best since our cars have big asses i compared to the civics etc. that extra torque would help us out. It could and def. should be done. I'm feeling a CB7TUNER.COM project car. DEEV? lol
