ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Is it possible to convert my 92 accord to rear wheel drive.

And my car at the moment has an automatic transmission, I would assume that doing tricks could potentially harm my transmission?

Glad to see people that actually dont consider this "drifting" If you want RWD your better off buying something that is already RWD. Converting costs money and custom parts.

its not drifting unless you have counter steer.. and i do plan to build a CB7 strictly for drifting.. and j turns, 180s and 360s should never be considered drifting if you ever come to a stop... and you dont always need to use the e-brake to drift a FF, their is such thing as using pure speed and/or waight transition.. and you should only use the e-brake to inisheate the slide or to give you more angle if you need more angle to continue the turn... and i havnt hurt my motor yet and i only have intake and a cat back exaust rolln on 17s, and over 308,000 miles on the motor.. never rebuilt... by the way if you r constantly redlining... u suck... i rairly hit redline while drifting... and yes i call it drifting not e-braking or ass draging or anythin else becouse doing thous things is not drifting.... if you know how to drift using a rear wheel drive or awd car, wich i do and have done many times and been given complamenta becuse im not to shabby at it, you should understand the whole consept behind drifting and then realise you can drift a ff car.. once you learn to stop holding the e-brake for most of the slide you will get better at it.. even awd and rear wheel drive cars still use the e-brake alot.

#3, Ahh the one thing I like about winter..

I would NEVER try something like that on dry pavement, or even gravel. But if you found an icy parking lot (not hard in NS during winter) your tires get very little traction (even with winter tires) and I can't see it doing too much harm

Its been done already but for a straight line. Think of the custom parts first. If you have money go for it. If not your just gonna kick yourself in the nuts. Also another thing to keep in mind the resale of the accord wont be that high. IT will be close to the same as blue book value. I dont see anyone nowadays that would want to buy a rwd cb unless it was on tokyo drift 2 or something.

the more you rip the ebake the sooner your e-brake cable will break like mines did.

Eh, everyone once in a while I hit gravle patches and you don't even need the ebrake. But all this is probably bad for the car too... but it's fun. So I guess it's a choice one has to make.

before you slide, do a scandinavian flick. it works a lot better. say you want to slide around a left turn. righ before you turn the wheel left, you flick the car to the right, probably about 1/4 turn, then immediately spin the wheel as much as you can to the left. this unbalances the car and unloads the wheels that would normally grip. when it starts going left, yank the e-brake and hold the button down. spin to opposite lock, then straighten it out.
it takes practice, but works really well.
