Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Hello everyone,
    I'm new to CB7Tuner. I haven't purchased a CB7 yet, or any car yet, but I plan on buying a 2 door 5 speed one which i found on auto trader.

    The details of the car are...

    Sporty 2 dr.!! 4 cyl., 5 spd., a/c, pw, pdl, cruise, tilt, p/sunroof. Only $550. as is.

    Can someone please tell me what to look for when I go to see it, im only 19 im looking for a car just for school and to work on

    watch out for rust in the rear wheel wells,
    also find out when the timing belt/water pump was done last. make sure the clutch feels good.

      thanks fam...this site has inspired me on how to do up a car and keep it clean and simple, but at the same time, make it a real showstopper...i plan on buying a nice system possibly 2 10inch rockford competitions in a sealed box, rims; black with the chrome outline, JDM lights, and then a performance exhaust...would coilovers be good to drop it about an inch or two...

      p.s. i like your sig, what kind of rims are those.

        Yea man make sure you find out when the car was last serviced. What was changed. Deff do a carfax and make sure there is no accident/fire/flood damage.

        X2 on the rust..it looks like its sat for a little while. Another important thing is you dont have to be a body expert to see frame damage.....look at the natural body lines of the car...make sure they line up...i.e the hood..make sure the hood lines up with the fenders...and the trunk with the rear panels...

        Thats really it, and before you hand over cash drive it and make sure it drives good, no knocking noises, no clicks when you turn the wheel, no smoke or bad vibrations in the pedals...i forgot its only 500$ but still 500$ could be a waste if it doesnt run ever again lol!

        Welcome to the site! Your plans sound good! Coilovers are good as long as you spend the money, cheap ones ride like shit. Skunk2's are where its at.

        Just read around and see what people like and dont like and check reviews...lots of information on this site for sure!
