ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    What does Bump mean?

Hey, I'm a noob here, and to all forums actually. I was just wondering what bump means when it's left by itself as a comment.
    thanks.

I think it's actually a pretty rude thing to do, depending on what it is. If you have a legitimate question that nobody has answered, then yes, it can be useful. However, it's important to keep in mind that no response COULD indicate that your question has been answered MANY times, and nobody feels like wasting their time with it! In the Classifieds forum, bumping your For Sale posts pushes other, newer posts down. That's not very fair.

The BEST way to "bump" a topic is to add to it. If you have a question that you can't find an answer to (even after searching) and nobody answers, rather than just saying "bump" or "anyone?", try showing that you actually tried to do something.

For example, using something simple, changing a tire:
Your initial question may be "I took my lugnuts off, and now I can't get the wheel off! Can anyone help?"
No replies come in, say, a day's time (a couple minutes NEVER warrants a bump... an hour, maybe... no sooner... that's just being hasty)
Rather than following with a bump, you can say "I tried pulling on the wheel, and got nothing. I tried kicking the wheel. Nothing. What else can I do?"
There, you showed you at least made an effort to solve your own problem. People are MUCH more willing to help those who are willing to help themselves!

To answer the hypothetical question... kick harder!

I know I'm going into more detail than necessary here, as the initial question was fairly simple... but it's already been answered, and I saw the opportunity to get into a little bit of forum manners Showing a little respect on here can go a very long way...
