ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    satelite radio

who here has sirius or xm radio?

i got the sirius s-50 for christmas and loving it but here are my complaints:
    -extra car/home docks are $70-100
-a small buzzing noise can be heard when my systems bumping loud(only on tuner, not cd)
-same shit as fm radio, just not as predictable

i still cant see driving without it again.

what set ups do you guys got?

    Sirius via Kenwood tuner module.

I havent listen to FM radio since I got sirius, Main reason is because FM in the morning is all TALK....I want to hear some music and sirius provides that.

I dont have any complaints so far, considering I am not paying for the service....When I bought the tuner It came with a subscription, for how long? IDK but its been almost 5 months

when i bought my truck, the guy said if he could keep the XM receiver, he'd knock off like 500 bucks. my mother said to let him keep it, and so i managed to get a '97 dakota for only 1800. it only had 130K miles on it.

with all the money id spend in getting the components together, and pay for subscription, id rather just buy an ipod and ipod adaptor for the H/U. load the ipod with all my favorite music and call it a day. i considered sirius or xm, but after i got the ipod hooked up, i just kept it that way.

all the new sat. radios when using the wireless fm freq sucks. This pass summer the FCC passed a law requiried xm and sirius to lower the wireless fm freq signal strength so all the new unit more so the sirius need the fd direct adapter to get a clean static free signal.

i worked at CC roadshop and I was told this.

cars parked next to each other could have their car with the same station and they could listen to the music.

So if they were listing to 66Raw with swears etc they complaned etc.

I haven;t used sat radio yet, but it would be swwet to have on a road trip. I took one recently and every half hour I had to search for some decent stations, and it was mostly crap.

I have a Pioneer in dash with a Pioneer dedicated XM tuner. All the controls are through my headunit as well as the song title/artist information. They recently pulled this type. I had to order it from Crutchfield to get it.
