ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

They have always sucked. bobistheoilguy.com has all the specs on that stuff. Did an oil filter comparison and crap on all of them. Fram was one of the worst lol.

It depends on the which filter you buy. The 15400-PLM-A02 is made by Honeywell which is suppose to be the parent company of fram. The one that most people use is the 15400-PLM-A01 or the s2000 filters made by toyo roki part number 15400-PCX-004.

theres only one thing i like about the fram filter and it's that gritty stuff on the end of it to help turn the filter by hand.

I just want to say thank you.... I will never use a Fram filter again.

I knew they weren't as great but i never expected it to be that severe of a difference.

Would any of you here recommend the Mobil one oil filters>

didn't they discontinue making the A01 filter? there was another thread about oil filters in the Beginner's section where someone who said they worked at a Dealer said that they no longer make and use the A01s.

                          on a side note..

there was a guy selling Honda filters on the classified section, i forget his name now but i just checked my stock of them and they are marked A02.

WIX was tested on bobistheoilguy.com and got pretty good results. I run RP 10/30 with a WIX oil filter on my car. Works wonders. Yea I forgot to mention there are 3 types of Honda filters. One was made in Canada, US, and Japan. The one in Canada/US didnt test too well. U.S only did a tad better than Canada and Japan design was way different compared to the other 2 variants.
