Being cocky a good or bad thing?

Cocky is overkill.....turn it down to confident and its ok. My brother and his bestfriend use to be cocky as hell, after a few alterations they calmed down.

I dont like cocky people but its fun putting them in there place. Most of the time im just silent and just chill. Cocky attitudes cause problems so I tend to stay away from it.

I can't stand cocky people.....especially cocky drivers that think they are all that. Well as far as "cocky street racers" I usually give a thumbs up etc. after a race whether I lose or win....but depending on the opponent I can tell whether they are concieted or just asses and I love shutting them down and making them feel stupid. Often times I get guys with their hopped up civic or integra with their gurl in the car. The most funnest run I had was against a newer mustang auto base model. The dude was all cheesin at me and trying to make his girl excited but after I shut him down (funny staying in v-tec toyin with him going in front and fallin back) I showed him his car wasn't anything special coz it wasn't no GT. At the next light, he appeared to have given up and accelerated normal. I just went on my way and about 2min later he does a flyby and cuts me off nearly clippin me to make up for his loss. But it's ok... thats why I love CB7's it's the ultimate sleeper to fix up!

Cocky people are funny, I always get a good laugh at someone trying to be cocky over something not noteworthy. Don't be cocky because most likely there will always be someone who has better/more things etc and will put you in your place.

People who are cocky have not been schooled by life yet.

They generally learn, but it's usually the hard way.

There is a difference between confident and cocky though.

Confident is knowing that you can or can't do something, knowing the degree to which you can do it, and knowing that if unexpected things arise, you have the tools to deal with them.

Confidence is also knowing that no matter how good you really are, there is ALWAYS someone better.

Cocky is just someone who naturally feels they are superior to others in some way.

Like I said, they all learn eventually, but sometimes it is the hard way.
