First of all,i have a 1990 Honda Accord EX sedan, everything is stock and all i have is a sri,and straight pipe exhaust....i raced a prelude s...but with a F22a1,and producing about 5 hp more than i am.....i also did my research and the prelude has a diffrent cam than i do....i have no idea what he has under he's hood, but i was just right at he's fender and he's hitting 15.9...im kinda actually amaze because i thought i was gonna hit 16's or low 17's like most people here..not trying to flam or anything..ohh...i was also running my rims....16's,heavier than my stocks, with 205/40 on the front and 205/50 on the rear...and the rims i have is Konig Monsoon,i had them for more than 3 yrs and never really used it,but i have 17 inch Concept 5...fo'show only...but anyways,i think i could've done better if i used my stock tires in the front,195/60/14.....but hey....i just got 16.1 with just intake straight pipe exhaust with stock exhaust manifold.....and some HEAVY HAS 16'' KONIG MONSOON.....so what u guyz think about my time?

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

That's a pretty damn good time! I haven't run yet, hope to soon in the future, but yeah I was thinking mid 16s would be normal. Musta got an awesome jump and are a great shifter. Good time, mayne!Always remember that only you can make your dreams a reality.

That is a good time, and even more affirmation that I will be able to at least get into the low 15s!!! Good job!
What were the conditions at the track?

That is a good time, especially for what you have done.
My best run to date was a 17.3, but I have only been once, and the track temps were well above 110, plus I had my A/C on in the staging lanes .
I don't feel too bad though, because even the H22 4th gen Preludes were scoring mid to high 16's that day.
EVO's were hitting mostly high 14's low 15's.
Definitely not bad though.

Very nice job. Your car must be blessed. On the 2gnt eclipse forum, there was a non-turbo eclipse running mid 15's stock when others where running mid 16's. They called it the factory freak. You might have an accord factory freak, i'd never thought the stock f22 would go that fast, even with your mods.Last edited by hamgumball; 09-08-2006, 04:47 PM.

I have seen other well maintained and well driven Accords reach low 16's with the same mods...
Anymore, manufacturing tolerances are so close (especially in companies like Honda and Toyota) that I am not really a firm believer in "factory freak."
You are much more likely to have a freak due to good maintenance, proper break in, and gentle driving, than you are to have a freakishly slow or fast car because of assembly line issues.
Honda's are basically blueprinted straight from the factory, and in order to really get a "freak" you would pretty much have to randomly get every best part laying around, or every worst part.
I just don't see that happening.
