ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Hey from Belfast

    hey.

I was given an Accord Saloon a few years ago (140K miles, no-one wanted it for £400 so mate gave me it). It was smooth but started losing water and I got fed up with old cars for a while...

Fast forward a few years through a few different cars* and I got an 93 Accord Coupé early this year.

It has a minor crease in the back bumper but had 64K miles when I got it and is in good nick - 5 speed manual gearbox is the slickest I've ever had, and is now even better after new oil. Motor is F20A7, and doesn't burn a drop of oil.

Current issues are a whining alternator and a busted interior door handle.
I have a spare alternator to go on and just ordered a new OEM handle for

    £16.93 plus VAT!

      Woo!!!!!

      I love CB7's from overseas.

For some reason, they look a hell of alot cleaner and more stylish than the US ones (I might just be too immune to ours)

      Anyways, welcome to CB7tuner.com

a wealth of info and awesome people smother the bulletin board, not one man (or woman) left unassisted

      Cheers

        cheers you guys.

well I've already got a tip from here - cleaned the idle control valve last month.

Mine isn't a patch on some I've seen on here, but one thing I prefer about ours is the retangular back plate.

        See it here:

(These were taken before I fixed the droopy RHS* mirror)

Thanks again for the welcome dudes.

MOT start of September, which shouldn't be a problem.

Next thing I'll be doing is overhaul of brake system - flush and new pads...

Very nice looking car. Seems like you have quite a nice collection of cars judging by your sig!

The F20A is a decent engine, but it's a little wimpy for the CB, IMO. Are engine swaps allowed in Ireland? I know there are some countries that really don't like it... The Prelude H22 engine really brings these cars to life!

I'm taking a trip to Ireland next Spring... I believe I'll be in Tralee.

Agree that the 2l donk is mild, but you try paying $6.85/gal for petrol!

This is definitely a daily drive, which won't be messed with*

The Charade Turbo is just a fun little gokart, and the RX7 is slightly scarey fun. Both are off the road at the moment, but the RX7 will be back soon.

Tralee! I had a weekend in Kerry last year - get yourself to Dingle if you're in Tralee: "A pub for every ten men"

                * Apart from maybe exhaust from manifold to back box, intake, poly bushes. Maybe...

Wow... I thought paying $3.19 was bad! And that's for the good stuff! Of course, I'm in one of the cheapest areas of the US for gas

How many miles do you get per gallon with that 2.0L? I recently had my H22 tuned by MRX (a moderator on here) and I'm getting 29-32 with a bit of spirited driving.

I'm definitely going to be checking out some pubs while I'm there! I've been told that I've never had a REAL Guinness. Things get ruined when they come to the US... cars, beer, etc... We get all the watered down crap!

Ralphie, he can't make a member's ride thread for another 28 posts!

                        RHD good FWD bad

I get 32/33 from normal stop start city driving, including the odd healthy dose of rev limit.

At a steady 50 on the motorway I can get 38 odd max.
But I got just about that from the RX7 under similar conditions!

And nobody over there wanted that car?!??!! You could import a dozen just like that and get $3.5-$4k to non car enthusiests on the street here. Heck, I'd pay for just a trunk lid like that lol. As far as condition, even a lot of us with a lot of mods don't have cars that immaculate as far as physical condition. If you ever don't want it I'll pay to have it imported lol.

But yeah enjoy yourself here. And can you perhaps get some engine pics? And if you ever want to do some scenic photoshoots with some Ireland scenery I don't think any of us will mind
