Just wanted to introduce myself; my name is Kevin. I just got a white 1990 Accord LX coupe yesterday that has a blown clutch.
I'm not new to Hondas(my previous cars were a 88 CRX with milled D15B2 and another 88 CRX with D15B VTEC, DOHC ZC transmission w/ CRX countershaft and EG EX differential, MSD cap, rotor, wires, GSXR1000 ITBs, P28 w/ crome and custom "carputer"...I did all of the work for those wondering). Both of my CRXs are wrecked(I wrecked one, the second already had rear subframe damage, I found out it also had front frame damage so decided to scrap it.
I'm not sure what I want to do with the Accord as of yet, but I'm open to suggestions. One thing I would like some advice is rust repair and reducing the car weight without removing too much interior(it's my DD, gotta make it semi-nice for the ladies ). I have mild rust on the driver side A-pillar, doors, and it's also rusting badly on the rear quarter panels(car came from Salt Lake City). My old CRXs weigh 1900lbs, and going to around 2800lbs is a huge difference in steering. One thing I noticed is the hood is pretty heavy, so I already know I need to take that out.
No pics of the accord yet though because my sister has the digi cam(she also drives a blue 1991 Accord sedan).
