ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Im a newbie but I need to sell some accord parts

Hey does anyone know where I can sell these parts i got, since I do not have enough posts for the other parts of the forums

Just as the rules say, there are no classifieds in the beginners section. You'll have to wait it out.

Wait till you get 30 posts, or sell on ebay.

Perhaps I'll adjust the noob selling rules to ebay-only sales. At least they provide some protection, so someone won't HAVE to be a trusted member just yet.

well, 30 posts dont make you a trusted member. nor do 100 or 1000 for that matter. we really need a vouch subforum......

We have a vouch thread stickied in off topic.

Go to thread, then above the first post, on the right there is "search this thread" and simply enter in the name of the person.

A whole forum seems like a bit of a mess waiting to happen, and a bunch of flamefest crap. 3000 threads... or just one thread. The best way is the feedback way like on ebay, but I am sure that costs more money up front, and each month.

yeah, true i forgot about the vouch sticky. I just saw a vouch subforum on a paintball forum site i visit and it works really well there, every member has their thread linked in their sig so in classifieds the person buying can check out their feedback. Its heavily moderated though, i guess if cb7tuner had the manpower it would work

I thought about a vouch forum before, actually... I talked it over with the mods, and we determined that it would just be open season on anyone who was dubbed a "scammer". I've seen a number of good people disappear with other people's money because they delayed a shipment for a couple days. When they returned here, they find a 5 page thread talking about how they're a thief. I've personally talked to some of those people that say if they're already labeled a thief, they might as well just keep the money and never return!

SO, the stance of cb7tuner.com regarding scamming is: if you get scammed, you should've been more careful. We are not police. We are not an insurance company. We can't do anything about it. By flaming the "scammers" in public, you just screw up my board, and I won't have it. Making a "so and so scammed me" thread will get YOU banned.

Basically, if you don't know someone enough to trust them with your money, do some research. If they seem reliable, take the chance. If not, don't take the chance. If you want the part bad enough to risk losing your money, so be it.

I'm going to adjust the beginner forum rules. Links to ebay auctions (owned by the person who starts the thread) are allowed. That way, someone who buys from a member with 2 posts has ebay's protection. That's MUCH more than we can do here! In fact, I think ALL transactions should go through ebay (there's a sticky in the classifieds forum showing how to create a private, one on one auction.)

i think it would be nice to be able to let other members know about someone who is scamming people though,so they dont get scammed too.instead of being flamed because your trying to help other people that may be scammed by the same person.just my 2 cents.

The thing is that so many people are so quick to call "scammer" that people who AREN'T scamming anyone turn into such... We've had perfectly honest people on here get labeled as scammers because they took a few days longer to send stuff out. They came back here and saw threads talking bad about them, sigs saying "this guy is a scammer"... they basically said "screw you guys, i'm outta here!" If they weren't attacked, they would've followed through.

Usually, if someone scams on this board, they do it ONCE and never return (the guy that got my $80 for a digital camera... never returned).

@ deevergote - Is that ebay rule in effect as of now? I actually started a thread similar to this before I saw this one. I'd just like to get rid of this damn timing belt kit I bought for my girlfriends ex-car

Yeah, I'll say that's in effect now. If sales are listed on ebay, they may be linked here. That way, people are selling on ebay, not on cb7tuner.com. Unless problems arise because of this, I'll allow it.
