ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Why would it be faster than a 2800lb fox body with a lightly built 302? I don't hear it loping its ass off or anything. Sounds like my old Ford pickup with open headers.

Right. A fox body weighs about as much as a CB7, and that's with the V8 already in place. Putting a V8 into a CB7 would likely result in a car heavier than a fox body mustang. The chassis would be less rigid, as the CB chassis was never built to withstand the torque of RWD (it may very well twist the car in half.) Strengthening the chassis to withstand the torque of a V8 driving the rear wheels will likely increase the weight considerably.
Can it be fast? Absolutely. Will a 92 Accord with a stock 92 5.0 be faster than a 92 Mustang with that same 5.0? It's doubtful.
It's really cool to see, and I've never seen one actually drive (so I'd really like to see more of this one.)
Also, those Veilside rims are on that car ONLY because they're "uber JDM"... not because they actually look good. When you want your Japanese sports coupe to be fast, and you swap in a V8 to make it so... WHY put on some oversized chrome wheels with an incorrect offset on the car? Either pimp it out, or make it fast.
I mean, seriously... that's like wearing a $900 pair of dress shoes to go play basketball.

Sub frame connectors will solve most unwanted twist on a fox.
SBC has always had more power it's just GM uses pigs, look at the differences between both 3rd gen stang an fbody. GM was a good bit higher in HP/TQ especially when TPI came along and suspension was far better than fords contender but the fox (Around 3000-3350lbs) was lighter by along shot as a GTA fully equipped is tumbling over 3700lbs.
My legend makes more power than 80's to mid 90's small blocks. Coming from owning both F bodies and fox bodies, in stock form both chassis are 14-15 sec car yet my fwd would dog em both stock for stock. If that CB aint a low 13sec car he needs to stick with 4cylinders, but it aint no 9sec car.

It's cool on it's own merits, but I fail to see the point other than just to say "yeah I did it". It's pointless, but hot rodding can be about "pointless" and "ridiculous" swaps just cause. It's cool for that. Wouldn't be caught dead in it though. I'd like to see a rwd converted, lsx powered Honda car that looks like a Honda still. Is it possible to be a "sleeper" at that point?
