ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    I think this is true

    Good sign, but not really.

I can still get 400 miles out of my daily driver for less than $25.00.

My daily driver is a 1992 EG hatch (CX) with a D16Y7 swap, that is currently getting 50MPG in the city. It has a 10 gallon tank, and I don't ever run empty, so that should give you an idea. It also runs just fine on 87 Octane, so that drops the price a bit too.

I am going to see if I can do what I have done with my Accord and get more mileage and more power. Can't go wrong with that.

As for my Accord, it is an auto with 215K, and I am routinely averaging 28-30MPG in town and almost 40 on the highway.

I used to get about 22-23 MPG city and about 28 MPG highway when my Accord was much younger and stock.

My mods are in my mod list. They all increased my mileage slightly. I could itemize about what they made, but that is not the intent of this thread. Subtract about 2MPG for tires and wheels (more if yours are heavy), as I have stocks on right now.

All mileage figures are with no special driving on my part (i.e. I don't nurse the car for more mileage, I just drive the way I always have).

The point is, that you CAN have your cake and eat it too, if you are smart about what you do.

Well, everybody should be looking at the bright side.

You COULD be driving something like a Suburban and getting 9 MPG with a $150-200 weekly fillup...

                          Talk about ouch.
