ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Not receiving emails from the forum...

I may need a moderator to help with this but we shall see...

I changed my default setting to "instant email notification" and made sure to go back to any older threads and subscribe, yet any time a response is made, I do not receive an email. I double checked all the folders in my email, as well as my email address on this site to ensure that it was correct. Am I possibly missing something?

That feature has been deactivated due to the HUGE bandwidth draw it creates. I just haven't figured out how to remove the option.
You should "subscribe" to threads automatically when you post in them (and of course, to any that you create yourself.) When those threads you are subscribed to get replies, it'll show up in your Control Panel. You'll find that link at the top left, under the CB7tuner.com logo.

I have my control panel set as my homepage.

Well that is unfortunate... I do subscribe to threads automatically, but I am very rarely on a desktop computer. And trying to navigate the site on my phone is easier said than done unless I were to have an email taking me directly to the thread for example. I feel like there could be some sort of feature that would not use as much bandwidth but still notify the users. You could, per say, email users when they have any new post on a subscribed thread, so it is one email between login sessions. That way, if they were to receive replies on ten different threads, it would limit it to a single email. I'm sure that would significantly help. Maybe have the email link to the users control panel?

It would in essence have the same effect, the only difference would be a time delay. Which in that case wouldn't be an instant notification feature. You would get the email hourly, daily, or during the week. Still, multiply that by hundreds to thousands of users daily, the bandwidth would be significantly hit.
