ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    I guess it's time.

Well, I suppose it's time to finally start posting here. I've been a lurker for quite some time, I'd say at least 6 months. I'm a follower of a few members here on Instagram and a very very proud cb7 owner myself. I must say reading through various threads it can get a bit intimidating, I am nowhere near an experience mechanic, and haven't been in Honda enthusiast/jdm/tuner/whatever you want to call it these days scene for very long at all. I am 20yrs old, and have loved the CB chassis since I was a kid, I was a single child so I never had anyone to really look up to in the car scene, and most of my friends where into classic American muscles, and I just wasn't into them nearly as much as them. So I drifted around on my own looking from a distance, never had the chance to get into it and I strongly regret not pushing myself to do it now. I feel like a greenhorn around here, I'm young, and obviously I really am a greenhorn in a sense. But I do have a true passion for this car, this isn't something I just felt like doing, this isn't a quick hobby I picked up. I fucking love this car, I fucking love the people and the community surrounding the scene as a whole(not just accords but the tuner scene in general) and I don't want to ever leave it. It's become my life. I go hungry for this car regularly, I dream about this car regularly, honestly this car has kept me out of so much shit, and in a sense has re-sculptured my life. But anyway, back to the details.

I love Honda's but the CB is my caviar, it's just beautiful to me. So last year I bought an old 91 DX 4 door(5 speed ) my aunt had for 300$. It needed a new timing belt, slave clutch cylinder, plenty of other very small things, and it needed the crankshaft pulley bolt drilled out because some stupid fuck tweaker snapped it off trying to help my aunt out. Long story short I grinded out the cash and found a buddy to help me with the repairs(No I won't allow anyone to work on my car without me, I may not know much but ill be damned if I don't try). and busted it out. A lot of time, a lot of patience, and some busted knuckles later and she was purring. Since that day she's ran great, I replaced a few cosmetic things and got ready to draw out my big plans. I had some of it laid out and then got laid off due to lack of work and have been shit out of luck since. Even though my chips are down I find a way to drive her weekly and not let her got to waste, but...living out in the sticks we have some pretty nasty potholes. One day I hit one and it cracked my exhaust right in half at the front of the cat where the front pipe/down pipe and cat meet(clean snap, it was almost too perfect), so now I have that to deal with. Since it's my only car I still have to drive it this way, so I've got it rigged up right now till a buddy of mine gets a new welder(Can't afford to take it to a shop, and I can't weld nor have a welder). So here I am, extremely interested, dead broke, and not giving up. The names Jay, and I live Washington State.
Pics of her will come soon

Welcome to the club! Great introduction; it's very refreshing to be reminded of how others are very enthused of their cb! Can't wait to see the pics!
